2014 has been quite a year! Big changes and great opportunities were happening around here. (I’ll be sharing some big news soon!) Here’s a look back at some of our more popular posts from 2014.
We can’t have a year in review post that doesn’t include the big home renovation that started at the beginning of February and is still going on – to some degree. The contractors were here for 5 1/2 very long months. Changes include all new floors on the main floor of our ranch home, new fireplace, new furnace and air conditioner, new roof, a lot of painting (I still have more to paint), 2 new closets, and I’m sure I’m forgetting many things. 2015 will be the year of sharing with you the finished renovation.
This post was a very popular before and after of one of the first painting projects that I worked on during the renovation. I painted an old dresser for our master bedroom, and replaced the hardware. I’m so happy with how it turned out.
I was getting a lot of questions about how I painted my bedroom dresser, so I wrote this tutorial to explain my painting steps. This is by far my most popular post of 2014. It seems that everyone on Pinterest is interested is knowing how to paint furniture!
This is one of my favorite bedroom projects – that I’ve done for a client.
I was kind of surprised at how popular this post has been. It’s a fun and very quick sewing tutorial that doesn’t take very much fabric. A great way to use leftover fabric scraps!
Again, very surprised at the response to this question! I loved reading all of your comments, and was amazed at the positive response to white appliances!
I made these Christmas stockings for my grandchildren – a boy and a girl. I love how they turned out. What I didn’t show you was the third stocking that I made for my newest grandson who is due this coming March. We’re very excited to be grandparents for a third time!
One of my very favorite client projects. I received a lot of e-mails and comments about this post.
Essential oils have become a big part of my life this year. They have helped me in so many ways.
I received so many requests for an update of the How To Re-Finish A Deck post that I wrote last year. Many of you were wondering how the deck paint held up after a year of weather and also wear and tear.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this look back at 2014. It’s been fun for me to go back and see all that has happened this year. It was a good year for us, and I hope for you too.
Here’s to having a wonderful 2015! I wish you all the best for the coming year. I appreciate all of you so much!
