Christmas Tree Stocking
I can’t believe how fast the Christmas season is approaching! I’ve been busy making some Christmas projects for my daughter. Last week I shared a tutorial for how to make a Snowflake Christmas Stocking, and this week I did a guest post about the Christmas tree advent calendar I made for her. Today I’m going to share a tutorial for how I made my grand-daughter’s Christmas tree stocking.
Christmas Tree Stocking
Materials:
3/4 yard of white felt
3/4 yard of lining material
White glitter felt for Christmas trees
1 yard of trim
1/2 yard of ribbon
1 1/2″ wide ribbon – 1 spool (I used this for cording and button) – optional
1 button
1 wooden letter for initial
Thread
Fabric glue
Sequins
Seed beads
Tree toppers – I used a snowflake garland cut up to make the tree toppers snowflakes for background (optional)
Instructions:
Follow all of the steps from my Snowflake Christmas Stocking post, substituting steps 3 and 4 for the following steps.
1. Make three Christmas tree patterns. Laying them out on the stocking face to find the placement you would like.
2. Cut the trees out of the white glitter felt.
3. Hand sew the sequins and seed beads to make as ornaments for the trees.
4. Glue the ribbon and trim onto the stocking face. 4″ down from the top of the stocking.
5. Glue or hand sew the trees onto the stocking face.
6. Using a hot-glue gun, apply the tree toppers and the background snowflakes to the stocking face.
Follow steps 8 – 21 of the snowflake stocking post to finish the stocking.
Enjoy your new stocking!
I’m partying here!
