Last week I shared details about what you’ll learn in my Craftsy class – Custom Bedding – Decorative Shams an Bolsters. Specifically about the first pillow we make in the class – the Euro Sham. Today I’m excited to share the details of the second pillow I made for my Craftsy class – the Flanged Sham!
If you’ve missed the the posts about the other two pillows in the class, you can find them here:
Craftsy Class Pillow #2 – Flanged Sham
This flanged sham is loaded with decorative details! It has the most techniques to learn of the three pillows in the class.
The flanged shams are mitered, and if you take this class you’ll learn some tips and tricks for mitering the corners. We’ll also talk about how to keep the flanges from flopping – a big pet peeve of mine!
There’s cording around the center insert of the pillow, and you’ll learn several tips and techniques for cutting out and making the cording.
You’ll also learn how to install a zipper in the back side of the flanged sham.
Like I said, there are lots of tips and techniques for this flanged sham, but please don’t be overwhelmed by the thought of making this pillow. I’ll walk you through step-by-step, and each step is clearly shown in the video. I love how Craftsy makes all of the details in their classes very easy to see and understand.
Here’s a short promo video that Craftsy did for my class:
