I had such a hard time choosing just a few gifts, but here are 10 of my favorites. This gift guide has ideas for any budget – big or small. The gifts are in no particular order.
I think anyone who loves to do craft or DIY projects would love to have a paint brush set like this. You don’t have to be an artist to get a lot of use out of them. I have a set of paint brushes like this that I bought 20 years ago, and I have used them for all sorts of projects. They come in handy when a big paint brush won’t do the job, such as if I need to do a little touch up on a paint job, or paint something small.
I love water color pictures, and would love to get a set of these water color pencils to play around with. I know my granddaughter would love them too! You can use them as colored pencils and then add water to get a water color effect.
I think this magnetic wristband is a great gift to help hold screws, but I think it would also work great for those of us who sew to hold pins!
If you have creative kids or grandkids, C.R.A.F.T. is a great book that has tons of fun projects for everyone! Many of the items needed for the projects you may already have around the house.
This Omnigrip Ruler is one of my favorite tools in my studio. I use it a lot for all kinds of sewing and craft projects – it’s not just for quilters! It has very easy to read measurements, and I love using the angle guides that are included on it.
Wreck This Journal falls under the category of a fun and wacky gift. I first heard about this book from another blogger. It’s a journal that has a different prompts for you on every page. For instance – stomp on a page in the journal with your muddy boots or tear out a page and then tape it back in the journal. This book lets you have fun and be creative, and you don’t have to worry about making a mess or being perfect. It’s a great gift for kids or adults.
These Painters’ Pyramids may not seem to be a very glamorous gift, but they are so useful for holding projects up off a surface when you’re working on them. I just recently bought some, and I love them for painting projects.
I’m sure many of you are aware of the adult coloring book craze. It seems everyone loves the calming effect of coloring in a coloring book. This Seasons Coloring Book For Adults has beautiful pictures done on high quality paper. There are 24 dual sided colored pencils and a pencil sharpener included in the carry all packaging.
This Cricut Explore is one of the pricier items in this gift guide, but I think any crafter would love to have it! I recently wrote about how I used the Cricut Explore to make my address sign. It saved me hours of work! It’s perfect for creating one of a kind projects – like party invitations, gift tags or DIY signs.
No crafty DIYer’s gift guide would be complete without a sewing machine! I currently have a 30 year old home sewing machine that works OK, but I would love to have this Brother sewing machine. It’s Amazon’s best selling and top rated sewing machine. My home machine doesn’t do button holes very well, so I would like to have it for the one step button hole feature alone!
I hope you’ve found some great gifts for the creative person in your life!
