The traditional Thanksgiving meal is one of my favorites. Turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, and of course, the stuffing. Today, I’m sharing a sausage stuffing recipe that’s very easy to make.
This recipe came from my mother-in-law, and it’s become a family favorite with my side of the family too.
It’s very quick and easy to make, which is nice when you’re preparing a big Thanksgiving meal!

Sausage Stuffing
Ingredients:
5 Tbs. butter
1 large onion diced
2 large celery stalks diced
2 cups chicken broth
Pepperidge Farm Herb Seasoned Cubed Stuffing
2 lbs pork sausage
Directions:
Brown sausage and set aside. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium high heat. Add the diced onion and celery to the melted butter and cook until tender. Add the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Place the Pepperidge Farm stuffing in a large bowl, and pour the broth mixture over the top. Lightly mix together. Add in the browned sausage, and lightly mix together. Place the stuffing mixture in a 9″ x 13″ pan. Bake for 30 minutes at 325 degrees.
* If you would like to make the stuffing the day before, refrigerate stuffing mixture. Do not bake. The next day, when ready to bake, cover the stuffing with dollaps of butter. Cover the stuffing with tin foil that has been sprayed with a no-stick cooking spray. Cook for 15 minutes at 325 degrees. Then take off the tin foil and cook for an additional 30 minutes.
