Welcome to another Window Wednesday! Today I want to share a client’s project that I did a few years ago. I fabricated swags and panels for my client’s living room. It’s still one of my all time favorite projects.
I love a good before and after, and this is a good one. I think it really shows how adding window treatments can finish a room. Here is what the living room looked like when I first saw it. Everything was finished in the room except for the windows. There were blinds, but the windows still looked unfinished.
Here is what the room looked like after we installed the window treatments. This picture is taken from the same angle. Notice how different the room looks at different times of day. The before picture was taken on a summer evening, and the after was taken a few weeks later in the morning.
We picked a textured fabric that goes perfectly with the wall color, and I fabricated swag and jabot valances with stationary panels underneath. The room is somewhat formal, so this style of valance worked well. There is a matching tassel trim along the bottom edges of the swags and jabots, and a large tassels in the swag sections.
I’m partying here!
